You'll work with our Product Development Practice in Wroclaw, focusing on McKinsey's Cleansheet Solution.

Our Product Development practice is committed to helping clients develop products and services that fit market needs, are produced with attractive margins, provide platforms for add-on offerings, and enhance the reputation of the brand for future business growth. We provide measurable performance improvements to our clients across a range of product development challenges.

McKinsey's cost engineering experience is provided via an easy-to-use target cost calculation software called Cleansheet Solution. Whether they make aircraft seats, optical switches, pizzas, or diapers – companies in almost any industry can benefit from Design-to-Value (DtV) and cost modeling. With the focus on the cost-benefit ratio, DtV strengthens customer value while helping cut time to market – in some cases, by up to 50 percent – and dramatically reducing product costs. Cleansheet Solution makes it easier to establish cost transparency, analyze the cost drivers, calculate the target cost, and reap these benefits.

What You'll Do

You will help to administer the Cleansheet Solution and support our consulting teams and clients in their use of the tool.

You'll answer ad-hoc user questions, provide training and support our client service teams to compile client Cleansheets. You'll compile cost estimations for different manufacturing technologies and you'll own and refine the training material that you use to conduct virtual and on-site training programs for our consultants and clients.

You'll build a comprehensive database of sanitized Cleansheets covering industries and products, you'll gather feedback and refine the datbase, and work with teams around the world to share that expertise and knowledge.

Cleansheet Solution is a set of tools, databases, a hotline and overall advisory support for target costing. The core element of the tool's infrastructure is a standardized costing application linked to repositories of cost data and supporting applications, which assist in performing subtasks that can simplify costing calculations. The tool contains McKinsey's regularly updated database on costs for materials, equipment, and labor. The database leverages our insights into different industries and the knowledge of distinctive institutions, such as the global McKinsey Sourcing Centers, to provide the information required for calculating a wide range of Cleansheets.
