Junior Research Analyst
- Minimum of 3-5 years' work experience
- Exposure to professional or academic experiences that focus on business, finance, engineering, or economics
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills

Who You'll Work WithYou will join our Johannesburg office as part of our global research and information network, which plays a critical role in maintaining and developing our industry knowledge by providing up-to-date market intelligence and performing in-depth research.
What You'll Do
You will provide support to our client service teams by collecting, summarizing, analyzing, and synthesizing facts that serve as critical inputs to client service teams.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop your own perspectives in your areas of expertise through further knowledge development. You will serve as consultants' first point of contact for industry knowledge and thus introducing them to industry structure, players, dynamics, and issues. You will also research and analyze industries, companies, products, and issues for application in client problem-solving.
You'll participate actively with consulting teams by engaging the consultants in discussion on the client issues and by crafting creative research solutions to prove or disprove hypotheses. You'll also be responsible for preparing targeted end-products to communicate research findings. Furthermore, you'll help to expand McKinsey's knowledge base by developing and maintaining codified knowledge.
