Who You'll Work With
As part our commitment to building the leaders of tomorrow we are proud to offer a Women in Computer Science Internship (WCSI) for freshman within McKinsey's New Ventures. This program, which is part of our firm-wide effort to attract top talent, joins our strong base of existing diversity and inclusion programs and is open to female candidates.
As an intern you will work in our New York, Chicago or Silicon Valley office for ~10 weeks in the summer. You'll be part of a project team, collaborating with colleagues to solve high priority business problems. You will also work with a range of experts in the firm, from data scientists to researchers to software and app designers.

What You'll Do
You'll typically work in teams of 3–5 colleagues, owning a distinct piece of the project and playing an active role in the engagement.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work on high profile McKinsey projects on a variety of topics. You will gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations. You'll have the opportunity to present results and implement recommendations in collaboration with team members. Some examples of the specific work you may do includes interviewing stakeholders and experts, leading teams, building financial models, creating and delivering presentations, and working with McKinsey subject experts to develop perspectives and insights.
