Digital Small Commercial Insurance - Solution Leader (General Management)
- Bachelor's degree; Advanced degree is a plus
- 7+ years of experience, with a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience
- Experience delivering B2B enterprise class software
- Experience in product management and consulting environment as well as an entrepreneurial mindset is ideal
- Previous experience in setting up new ventures and growing a team
- Ability to articulate meaningful and measurable business impact from analytical tools and data

Who You'll Work With
You'll lead our Digital Small Commercial Insurance (DSCI) team and will be based in Chicago, New Jersey, New York, or Boston. DSCI is part of McKinsey's New Ventures and McKinsey Solutions.
DSCI is an end-to-end software platform that transforms the way insurance carriers sell small commercial, significantly accelerating growth. Our digital interface combined with underwriting analytics delivers a distinctive customer experience, and it integrates seamlessly with the carrier's back-end. What You'll Do
You will play a pivotal role that requires a passion for analytical content with the managerial capacity to deliver services with real client impact.
You will oversee all activities related to the development and delivery of the Solution services to clients and work closely with the Solution Board to advance the strategic aims of the Solution. You will provide leadership and management to DSCI teams and drive the effectiveness of the team, in addition to designing and developing operational strategy to enable automation, scalability and expansion across geographies, industries and functions. You will also manage the P&L for DSCI and manage relationships with delivery partners and vendors (e.g., designers, system integrators) to ensure effective partnership and timely delivery of the DSCI offerings.
You will oversee the delivery of offerings, a benchmark report and recommendations, in collaboration with the DSCI team, delivery partners (e.g., systems integrators), and McKinsey client service teams. You will grow the team by sourcing required delivery resources from internal teams and/or external partners. You will also responsible for overseeing proposals, legal contracting, project planning, execution, progress tracking, and client billing.
In this role you will drive direct go-to-market business development effort by creating an opportunities pipeline and directly interfacing with potential customers to grow the business. You will educate and evangelize DSCI offerings in order to increase demand and support the proposal delivery process (e.g., in client meetings or through demos). You will foster client relationships as an account manager, gathering feedback, solving larger issues, monitoring usage and impact in addition to developing the DSCI ecosystem within Digital McKinsey, McKinsey Solutions and more broadly as the Solution evolves.
You will also be responsible for creating the vision for next generation DSCI and within this you will identify market opportunities, build business cases, and define the product vision and strategy. You will define the roadmap from inception to launch and delivery of new products and offerings and define and drive product positioning and value proposition. You will evolve the DSCI pricing model with programs tailored for practices and regions and constantly deliver exceptional results. Some of your additional responsibilities will include contributing to service delivery strategy (e.g., give input to new feature development, capture client feedback) and developing the infrastructure and codification of methodologies and processes.
