Data and Survey Analyst


  • Bachelor's degree in social, biological or mathematical sciences, operations, or management or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of experience coordinating or assisting with survey research or other forms of attitudinal data gathering such as market research
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of statistics
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills

Who You'll Work With

You will be a member of McKinsey's People Analytics and Measurement Team (PAM) and will be based in Poznan, Poland. You will join a group of data analysts, data scientists and measurement professionals who apply scientific principles and rigor to key questions related to McKinsey's people.

PAM delivers critical data and information to the business to help it make decisions (eg metrics and survey), drives advanced and longitudinal analytics against key strategic people questions, and innovates new people measures and people measurement tools at the firm. The PAM team is a new and innovative force within the McKinsey People function and a very exciting global team to be a part of.

What You'll Do

You will support, plan, and coordinate operations for surveys.

As a Survey Analyst you will also facilitate technical configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of online surveys. You will verify accuracy of recipient data, communication content, and other pre-launch process inputs. You will monitor and evaluate survey progress and performance, using sample disposition reports and response rate calculations.

Part of your role will be collaboration with teammates and technical specialists in the planning, administration, and evaluation of surveys. You will prepare and present summaries and analyses of survey data, including tables, graphs, and fact sheets that describe survey techniques and results. You will plan and conduct basic quality checks on survey response data and provide survey respondents with technical support relevant to survey navigation and submission.
