Qualifications

  • An outstanding academic and professional record of achievement (MBA is a plus)
  • A broad understanding of and passion for current technology trends, their impact on business strategies, and their implications for senior management in creating and sustaining competitive advantage and transforming business
  • A global perspective, and the ability to leverage experiences across industries
  • Diagnose and develop strategy and execution plans for technology-related topics:
  • Demonstrated understanding of the business drivers, financial and operational issues, expected and actual benefits, challenges, solutions, industry trends
  • Hands-on, real-time experience with noteworthy technology engagements

Experience with IT strategy, technology and organizational issues

  • Up to 10 years of work experience in consulting (highly desired) or industry role, preferably in IT departments
  • Openness to travel
  • Fluency in Spanish and English

    What You'll Do

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Collaborate closely with practice leadership and teams to deliver significant, measurable impact to client performance
    • Provide expertise and develop new perspectives on technology issues
    • Codify institutional knowledge on industry insights and functional best practices

    Client/clientele development:

    • Leverage domain expertise in technology actively to assist with all client development activities and represent the practice as an expert in this sector
    • Aggressively contribute to all related client initiatives
    • Lead efforts to develop compelling "off-the-shelf" presentations (basic beliefs, qualification packs) and workshop materials to support client development efforts
    • Actively assist the leadership team and client service teams (CSTs) in preparing tailored client materials and presentations

    Client service:

    • Develop insightful and pragmatic solutions to client problems
    • Work with client service teams as a full or part-time member and support teams in relevant engagements
    • Interview, analyze and interpret client and industry information
    • Develop hypotheses based on client research, industry best practices and other information sources
    • Work with teams to synthesize output into specific and actionable business recommendations/action steps

    Knowledge building and knowledge transfer:

    • Develop, research and refine functional concepts, points of view, and problem-solving tools that can be brought to bear in client engagements
    • Codify internal knowledge and capture industry best practices
    • Collaborate and lead client and McKinsey training workshops in field of expertise
    • Build, maintain and leverage an internal and external network of consultants and industry experts
    • Advance the reputation of the practice by helping to develop appropriate external and internal communications
