Client Development Hub Manager - Global Energy & Materials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA or equivalent professional degree is a plus
  • Technical experience with strong interest in business development
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Proven leadership record in leading small to mid-sized teams
  • Experience in consulting preferred
  • Fluency in English, other Asian languages beneficial

Who You'll Work With

You'll be based in one of our Asia-Pacific offices and will work with the Global Energy & Materials (GEM) Practice. This is the firm's largest industry practice and encompasses four industry cells: Basic Materials, Chemicals & Agriculture, Electric Power & Natural Gas, and Oil & Gas.

Energy and materials industries are big and important to the world's economy, and you as a player will face significant challenges such as meeting growing demands, operating safely and productively, dealing with volatile geopolitics, and managing gigantic capital investments. You'll work with over 80% of the largest mining companies and with 90% of the top oil and gas companies worldwide.

What You'll Do

You'll innovate how we build up and manage our Asia Global Energy & Materials (GEM) Client Development Hub to ensure we bring the best of our firm to our clients.

In this role you will work with leaders on the identification and prioritization of white space opportunities and agree on target client lists. You will craft and develop proposals and discussion documents, managing the team and leveraging the experts (internal and external) of the practice. You will define the optimal mix of functional and industry client service capabilities, and what bundle(s) would best deliver against the client's needs. You will shape the Asia Oil & gas competitive strategy, build competitive intel, help codify and disseminate best practices from wins/ losses.

You will also create a library and digitize the CDH's fundamentals (e.g. bios, quals, LOPs, etc) and experiment with innovative approaches to client development and proposal discussions. You will collaborate with the O&G Practice team with the content needed for the overall Reach and Relevance strategy with a focus in Asia

You'll help boost the hub in acting as key node in our Global Energy & Materials global network, which includes client development hubs in other regions, global service lines, centers of excellence, and research teams. The goal will be to deepen the collective institutional memory and cross-pollinate and share re-usable assets, knowledge, references and CVs. You will help manage firm client communications and development tools as well as collect, sanitize and create a library with the latest frequently asked questions, discussion documents and proposals.
