Alliance Manager - Inorganic Growth
- Bachelor's degree; Advanced degree is a plus
- Operational management experience across a range of KPIs ( e.g. design & operationalize an alliance effort as a business versus just managing a relationship with revenue objective)
- Ability to apply risk analysis and risk management processes to new and/or evolving business initiatives
- Expertise in alliance strategy and alliance program implementation and execution
- Superior problem solving and critical reasoning skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly grasp range of complex business issues and develop recommendations and solutions to address these issues.

Who You'll Work With
You'll work with our Inorganic Growth team in one of our North America offices. Inorganic Growth is part of McKinsey Solutions and McKinsey's New Ventures.
Our Inorganic Growth team is comprised of four functional teams: origination, integration and alliances & partnering advisory, and operations. The origination team supports practices in developing inorganic growth strategies, sources deals and manages acquisition, equity and non-equity partnerships processes. The integration team focuses on planning the integration of acquired companies into McKinsey and supporting the integration process. The alliances & partnering advisory team leads our technology related ecosystem program and the primary management of our cooperative and collaborative relationships. The operations team provides coordination and support across the three primary inorganic team functions.
The Inorganic Growth team is at the forefront of innovation and keeps adding new services such as VisualDoD (data visualization), Lunar (design agency), 4Tree (pricing analytics) and Quantum Black (analytics engine). The team is building and launching a formal alliances program. The current inorganic portfolio spans more than 110 providers ranging from innovative startups to large established software and delivery providers.

What You'll Do
You'll support concurrent development of a portfolio of relationships and you'll identify differentiated value propositions and combined solutions that will offer material accretive impact to our clients.
You'll lead collaboration related activities and act as a guide to stakeholders throughout engagement activities along continuously aligned expectations. You'll act as a steward of firm policies and advise both collaboration parties and colleagues. You'll be a strong internal partner who leverages firm resources and operating norms.
You'll act as a key point of contact for sponsoring practices in developing an inorganic strategy and executing on a specific alliance relationship. You'll represent McKinsey in interactions with the alliance relationship executive team, and alliance stakeholder communities.
