The Opportunity:
The Sr Manager R2R is accountable for the end to end business processes, regardless of geography or service delivery model. This position oversees General Ledger, Fixed Assets & Project Accounting. In addition, this position oversees the Hyperion consolidation system and overhead planning tools. The role will play a key and pivotable relationship role with Corporate HQ, located in California. There will be growth opportunities to expand scope/responsibilities as you become more familiar with the Mattel and BPO environment.

The R2R Sr Manager will be supported by Team Leads located in the East Aurora Mattel Shared Services center, and an offshore team through our strategic partnership with a BPO located in Noida, India. In total, this position will have an organization of over 30 positions (including BPO) and will report to theVice President, Mattel GlobalShared Services.

What We're Looking For:

  • 4-year university/college degree and/or MBA is required, CPA desired
  • 10+ years'of related accounting experience, preferably working in aglobal shared services operating Model; GL F&A preferred
  • Experience working within BPO environment desired
  • History of driving change through innovation and standardization
  • Experience with transition management
  • Knowledge of PMBOK framework - PMP a plus
  • Comfortable with CI tools, process mapping, value stream, lean
  • Leading global teams across multiple time zones
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite

  • Oversees the timely and accurate closing of the Oracle general ledger including uploading results from Oracle into the Hyperion Enterprise system
  • Provides strategic direction and alignment according to global R2R organization
  • Coaching, mentoring, and supporting organization including BPO team
  • Support/Input the development of end state vision for the R2R organization - inclusive of Global processes, standards, and efficiencies to create target operating model
  • Partners with leadership and continuous improvement team to identify and execute initiatives required to drive global process standardization
  • Educates stakeholders on the benefits of Global Business Services and process standardization
  • Effectively manages and prioritizes strategic initiatives across organization in support of target operating model
  • Oversee BPO team, ensuring cultural alignment to Mattel vision and values - building a consistent and aligned (One team mentality)
  • Serves as the Oracle General Ledger System subject matter expert
  • Oversees maintenance of the Hyperion Enterprise system ensuring that changes in the Oracle General Ledger are properly mapped to Hyperion and that the system is maintained to provide required monthly reporting for Mattel Business Units globally

Becoming a world class Shared Services Organization requires changes in our business processes, hence changes in many of our existing accounting systems. To that point, we have embarked on several strategic initiatives this year to upgrade our systems, and automate and standardize our processes.
