What We're Looking For:

  • BA / BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of experience as an accounting professional
  • Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, organized and focus on continuous improvement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Preferred qualifications:
  • CPA
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle
  • Previous "Big 4" accounting experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and perform several tasks concurrently in a deadline driven environment

What Your Impact Will Be:

What Your Impact Will Be:
  • Perform general ledger close procedures in Oracle.
  • Perform company-wide topside consolidation entries (including elimination of intercompany investments in subsidiaries) and procedures in Hyperion Enterprise
  • Prepare detailed account analysis and reconciliations, such as retained earnings roll forwards, and foreign currency exchange analysis.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and various management reports and other analyses
  • Review and provide feedback on internal and external communications, including board presentations and investor relations earnings releases, scripts, and presentations.
  • Prepare SEC filings, including annual reports on Form 10-K, quarterly reports on Form 10-Q, footnotes to the financial statements.

Mattel's Financial Reporting group is primarily responsible for the consolidation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial results and actual data from business units. The group is also responsible for preparing monthly financial statements for senior management, and quarterly and annual filingswith the SEC.
