Job Title

Vice President, Security Solutions Communications

The external communications team is focused on driving programs and activities that build, support and defend Mastercard's reputation among key audiences. The team has been designed to closely mirror the business and support the company's efforts in delivering world-class payments and security solutions. The ESS division of Mastercard is a fast-growing unit with significant revenue opportunity, several new significant acquisitions currently in integration and breaking new ground in areas such as Digital Identity, AI and Cyber security solutions.

As the subject matter expert in all things safety and security, this individual will serve as the primary relationship manager for senior ESS executives. His/her primary role will be to provide communications and thought leadership counsel and shape programming at the global level. She/he will also closely coordinate the implementation of security-related communications activities with the regional teams. The role reports to the SVP, External Communications and the preferred location is the company's Purchase, NY headquarters, but could also reside in London.

•Develop holistic internal and external communications strategies on behalf of the Enterprise Security Solutions team
•Serve as communications counsel for chief enterprise security solutions officer
•Utilize and help manage resources from the global external communications team to execute strategies and amplify opportunities
•Strong alignment and engagement with product teams to develop a deep understanding of the products and identify media opportunities around the products and relevant themes
•Actively participate in ESS activities, including leadership meetings, business reviews and other strategy sessions
•Partner with additional business units to identify and refine the broader Mastercard security innovation story and solidify the company's position as a trusted leader in security
•Serve as the key point of contact between global (including internal and digital communications) and regional communications initiatives within the ESS business unit and across the organization
•Coordinate activation of agency resources to promote the company's security storytelling activities
•Use measurement tools to merchandise impact of communications efforts across the organization

•Ability to translate complex business and policy issues material into easily understood, actionable programs
•Strong relationship management skills and ability to work collaboratively and deliver results
•Demonstrated track record of high-profile media relationships and placements
•Excellent written and oral communications skills; flawless editing to support clear ideas
•Solid understanding of balancing and prioritizing needs of multiple stakeholders
•Strong ability to prioritize, multitask and manage to deadlines
•Issues and crisis management experience preferred, but not required
•Payments, security and/or defense industry experience preferred, but not required
