Job Title

Sr Specialist, Communications

Generalists responsible for executing regional, divisional or country specific communication plans; internal and external

•Collaboration on the developing a fully integrated external communications strategy for traditional and social media, around the company's objectives, products and services.
•Working cross-functionally across the business to create an effective narrative and build the brands image and identity, especially in market transformation.
•Operating highly effective day-to-day media relations, managing proactive briefings with members of the press and handling enquiries.
•Working on developing, maintaining and integrating digital channels into the External Communications strategy.
•Mapping the external stakeholder and develop relations required within the different markets.
•Designing and delivering creative events and activities to support product launches and drive public awareness.
•Managing external suppliers - including PR, social media and monitoring agencies
•Managing the Communication budget.
•Responsible for all daily online, print and social media monitoring and to deliver regular coverage reports related to the organization, competition and external stakeholders
•Develop press kits for all events and activities and media pitches. This will include the delivery of press release, biographies, factsheets, backgrounders, speeches, by-lined articles, company presentations and briefings.
•Preparing our executives and KOLs for media interactions and interviews.
•Be responsible for the multimedia content development and approval

Duties: Internal Communications

•Writes, films, edits and guides production of content for multi-platform internal communications vehicles (e.g., corporate intranet, newsletters, videos, blogs, email announcements, webcasts)
•Collaborate with senior leadership on internal communications strategies, tactics and messaging to shape and nurture Mastercard's company culture
•Collaboraton on developing the internal communications strategy and work closely with HR on execution
•Develop compelling narratives and thought leader positioning and continuously look for ways to bolster and innovate on the strategic positioning.
•Design and deliver internal marketing campaigns that align with Mastercard's principles and priorities
•Coordinate and make sure that external activities are being communicated to employees through internal channels
•Coordination of internal events: Town Halls, F2F, In the Know, Power Sessions

Requirements

•Degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing, Marcomms or equivalent
•At least 4-6 years of relevant working experience in public relations and communications (experience working in financial or technology or in a PR agency with this focus is a plus)
•Have experience managing teams in a local or regional structure
• Excellent writing skills both in English and Spanish
• Interest in communications, strong writer and editor is a must
• Corporate Communications experience is must
• Payments industry experience is a plus
