Senior Specialist, Sponsorships
The person will handle own projects autonomous and will be executing our sponsorship activities as well action plans of merchant and media cooperation partners leveraging our assets.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing for Germany, he/she will work closely with internal stakeholders to set the strategy for marketing Mastercard. Core to this role is integrating all marketing channels including merchant marketing, events and sponsorship, with the overall marketing strategy and advertising campaigns and sharing knowledge, expertise and best practice within the group.
The person needs to be skilled in:
•University degree in business administration, international management or business administration (BWL)
•A bank apprenticeship is beneficial (first experiences in Financial Services / credit card business preferred but not mandatory)
•Communication skills and fast apprehension
•Structural and analytical skills
•Open-minded and adaptive
•Fluent in English and German
•Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
•Ability to turn qualitative and quantitative data and information analysis into actionable 'insights'
•Negotiate, manage and steer local sponsorships and manage execution and leveraging with our various stakeholders
- Manage and leverage European and global Sponsorship assets for Germany with focus on UCL. Sponsorship UCL handling: streamline handling and management and support Project leader in selling assets and implementing managed service cases as well as develop and implement sponsorship related promotions. Furthermore the UCL leveraging is key to secure utilization of double digit million European sponsoring investment.
•Implementation of action plans /offers of merchant plans as part of the national campaign and marketing strategy
•Close collaboration with cooperation partners
•Support Project Leader in acquisition / contractual negotiation with cooperation partners to leverage the assets ( own and international ones)
•Apply marketing approvals of customers' marketing material as part of our franchise set-up
•Support sales at specific customers with marketing material leveraging our sponsoring assets
•Manage promotional activities related to sponsoring as part of national campaign.
•Ensure all procurement, legal and financial protocols are adhered to in the delivery of marketing campaigns. Negotiate the supplier agreements with input from procurement.
•Steer external agencies for project work
•Track and assess effectiveness and efficiency of the marketing activities
