Senior Software Engineer-Continuing Engineering

Overview

We are looking for talented developers with experience in designing Java software for distributed, highly available systems, where system performance is critical.

This role reports into the Development Team Lead and sits within the Global Software Development Group of the Mastercard Payment Gateway Services Division.

Role

In this role you will:

•Maintain and develop a payment gateway product deployed globally, including maintenance, system updates and production problems
•Provide 3rd level support to maintain business critical functions for our customers
•Collaborate with team members and internal stakeholders to ensure requirements meet customer needs
•Mentor and guide less experienced developers
•Collaborate with DevOps and 2nd level support team members to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
All About You
•Suitable candidates demonstrate previous experience in similar production and application support roles
•You enjoy triaging issues and problem solving to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
•Suitable candidates will have strong Java experience. WEB UI and Java Script is also highly advantageous
•Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
•Solid experience in maintenance of commercial applications, preferably in a product development environment
•Current experience in delivering innovative technical solutions to meet business and product strategies.
•Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
•Actively involved in your own professional development and skills growth
