Senior Software Engineer
The Applications Development Team is a dedicated collection of self-organizing, interdependent, co-located engineers representing different functional roles with all the necessary skills to turn Product Backlog items into a potentially shippable increment within the Sprint / Iteration. Team members may be developers, testers, analysts, architects. The team is cross-functional, which means that between all its members they possess sufficient skills to do the work. There is no dictated leadership hierarchy within the team members
Experience building scalable, high-performance, reliable, highly available and large distributed systems with a high degree of autonomy.
Experience with high performance batch data processing.
Have experience with high volume data pipeline or high availability queuing systems.
Love to work with open source technologies like Spark, Hadoop ecosystems, activeMQ, Kafka, Zookeeper
Experience building scalable web services
Experiences in Programming & Scripting Languages (Java, Scala, Python, JS, Groovy)
Experience with Application Frameworks (Springboot, node.js, Spring Cloud)
Experience with Relational Databases (e.g Oracle, Postgres), ORM (Hibernate/Ibatis)
Have excellent communication skills including experience speaking to a technical and business audience.
Live to break down and solve complex problems by creating practical, maintainable, and scalable solutions
Desire to be constantly learning new things.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Experience with Unix/Linux and scripting.
Good to have
Experience working in a cross-functional AGILE team
Experience working with code quality tools like SonarQube, Gerrit, etc BIG plus
Prior experience with tools like Rally, Jira, etc.
Bachelor's degree on Computer Science (or related discipline)
