Senior Software Developer - NuData Security

Mastercard's Enterprise Security Solutions organization develops and delivers world-class security products and services for customers across the globe. NuData Security predicts fraudulent transactions by identifying good users from bad, based on their online behavior. By analyzing over 38 billion behaviors annually, NuData harnesses the power of behavioral and biometric analysis to empower our clients to predict fraud and verify the user behind the device. This allows clients to predict fraud before a critical decision, reduce customer insult, and investigate bad actors efficiently.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our Feature Team in our Vancouver office.

Overview

•The Feature Team builds and maintains customer application interfaces for our fraud detection products, supporting several different platforms.
•We also work with NuData's customer-facing engineers and analysts to fulfil immediate customer requirements across the entire product technology stack.

Role
•Design and develop product features and system-to-system interfaces
•Contribute to large project architecture
•Mentor junior developers
•Work with customer-facing colleagues to gather requirements and troubleshoot issues
•Manage your own time while collaborating with teammates to accomplish project goals
•Grow your skills with continual learning, workshops, conferences and talks

All About You
•Professional software developer with experience in a team-oriented setting, including collaborative use of source control systems and test frameworks
•Familiarity with PHP, plus experience with at least one other object-oriented language such as Java, C#, or C++
•Skilled in the use of Javascript to interact with web-based applications, including JSON, HTTP, and RESTful services
•Hands-on experience in other contemporary languages such as Ruby, Python, Go, or Scala is a bonus
•Experience working with cloud-based server environments is an asset
•Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Redis, etc) is a plus
•Bonus points for knowledge of ecommerce, financial services, and Software as a Service (SaaS) business and technical environments
