Senior Professional - Consumer Credit Product

Overview

Mastercard has set as objective to continue as market leadership in consumer credit business in Mexico and become leadership in Central America and continue as the product with the main contribution, with main focus on Affluent Segment growth.

To achieve this objective, the main purpose of the position is to develop and implement initiatives to increase the usage of the cards.

Role

•The Credit Management Team is responsible for management of Consumer Credit business, its P&L, portfolio management, partners' proposals and the execution of affluent strategy to gain share in the Mexican market and Central America.
•This positon is a subject matter expert of the Consumer Credit Business for Mastercard, as such, the Consumer Credit Senior Professional has to lead market or issuer wide initiatives to grow the credit business through strategies to increase cards usage and preference.
•The Consumer Credit Senior Professional has to provide the product knowledge in order to develop and propose to our issuers and merchants initiatives to optimize their P&L along with ours, this knowledge includes:
oAct as Life Cycle Manager for Credit products; monitor product performance metrics at all stages of the product life cycle, and make recommendations in order to solve market and partners (issuers and merchants) challenges including cards usage and preferred payment method
oProvide market trends, dynamics, statistics and competition in order to provide guidance for product go to market strategies and changes.
oWork closely with sales team to understand MasterCard, issuer, acquirer, merchant, and consumer needs and issues in order to develop proper Consumer Credit business proposals
oIdentify and size market opportunities and threats
oSupport in the development of business plans for identified product opportunities, including rigorous analysis of revenue opportunities and related cost
oDevelop product value propositions as well as new benefits through all product cycle: product creation, product forums, business cases, financial tracking and post implementation reviews for all initiatives
oImprove Customer Experience for products and services for affluent segment in all Central America and Mexico's market

All About You

•Professional with 7-10 years of experience
•Excellent organization and time management skills with attention to details
•Results oriented with sense of urgency
•Self-starter with the ability to synthesize ambiguous information
•Fluency in written and conversational English
•Experience in product management in Financial, Technology or Retail institutions
•Extensive experience working on full product cycle management in diverse markets
•Proven data driven analysis
•Ability to develop relationships and deliver results with global, multi-cultural and remote project teams
•Extensive interaction with external stakeholders at the local level through participation in client meetings and consumer events
•Coordinated cross-functional initiatives, such as professional development opportunities, idea-creation programs, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) opportunities
•Developed an understanding of the business and how the organization earns profit/creates value, acquired through both formal and informal trainings and projects
