Job Title

Senior Analyst, Network Engineering (Infrastructure Capacity Analysis)

Manage Network Capacity and provide network utilization statistics for MPLS network communication environment and data centers

Responsible for network infrastructure analysis, providing performance and network capacity utilization stats, support of large multi-site, multi-vendor MPLS network communication environments and data centers.

- Manage network capacity projects.

- Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and MasterCard networks, re-architect network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth.

- Interface with internal and external customers to create detailed capacity forecasts.

- Document requirements and formulate detailed recommendation for capacity and design upgrades of network and data center infrastructure.

- Interface with testing teams, network designers, and application developers to understand and document the capabilities of the network and identify potential bottlenecks.

- Support assigned capacity impacted projects, which include responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation.

Knowledge / Experience:
- Networking, including LAN/WAN, Firewalls, wireless, Security and encryption technologies.

- Experience with TCP/IP protocol communications.

- Experience using tools such as Netscout to analyze network capacity and performance.

- Basic SQL queries

- Understanding of MIP log files and analyzing the contents is a Plus.

- Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio
- Knowledge of Cisco's product portfolio.
- Knowledge of Project Management methodology and best practices is a Plus.
- Knowledge of Network diagnostics, BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS technologies.

Skills/ Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Self starter with demonstrated listening skills.
