Your summer experience will enhance your business skills and contribute to the company's goals and objectives of one of Mastercard's teams of North America: Digital Partnerships, Business Development and Account Management.
Account Management combines strategic problem-solving skills with industry expertise to address the challenges and opportunities of our clients, enhance Mastercard's strategic and tactical performance, and establish Mastercard's thought-leadership preeminence. Leveraging our specialized expertise, we establish client relationships and conduct analyses based on billions of anonymous transactions to help financial institutions grow their business or otherwise achieve efficiencies.
Digital Partnerships sits at the forefront of innovation and leads Mastercard's engagement with major actors in digital commerce. We work with the biggest names in tech, ecommerce and financial services to leverage Mastercard's technological capabilities to solve partner business problems, create new propositions, and ensure seamless, secure and inclusive payments. The intern will have the opportunity learn the payments industry landscape specifically as it relates to players who accept payment in digital forms including online, mobile and in-app; support project initiatives for key customer relationships; and assist in driving partnership opportunities forward.
The Account Management intern will:
•Support the team in preparation for customer meetings, including updating presentations and learning about our data driven approach
•Help to frame and develop holistic Western Region Growth Plan for 2021.
•Help expand our best practices across Data & Services, Cyber & Intelligence and help bring those to all our clients in the Region.
•Help analyze where we have opportunities for Optimization and increase digital payments.
•Contribute to our growing database on the effectiveness of opportunities and ensure capture in our salesforce.com platform
The Digital Partnerships Intern will:
•Be assigned to one (or more) key account(s) for which they will be responsible for providing key metrics, reporting, and analysis for driving open partnership opportunities.
•Serve as a key contributor in developing the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) for partners. The intern will attend partner meetings (as appropriate) and be given the opportunity to see first-hand how partnerships are structured at Mastercard.
•Work with the Account Managers to develop Account Plans and/or Industry Analysis for strategic projects. Align corporate goals and customer priorities to drive ultimate synergies.
•Support customer meetings (as appropriate), presentations, and other reports on an ad-hoc basis.

Internships are open to current students completing a Bachelor's degree between December 2020 and May 2022 with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Your major and/or field of study should be in one of the following or a related area:
•Strategic Business Planning
•Excited to learn new skills and technologies
•Team player--interested in working on diverse teams in an inclusive environment
•Self-motivated and agile--ability to manage multiple priorities
•Strong organizational skills
•Solutions oriented and ability to drive results
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
Previous consulting experience is desired.
Relocation is not provided for this role.
