Job Description Summary

The European Business Development Managing Consultant is a key member of the European team. This person will gain first-hand external management consulting experience by working across numerous high profile clients in multiple industries, including Europe's largest financial institutions and merchants. In addition, they will have responsibilities involving selling, design, client management and quality control across the Mastercard business, including: Products & Emerging Payments, Marketing, Sales, Account Management & Advisors.

The role will cover the France as a primary market and then add support to the rest of Europe.

Role:

• Work with external clients to understand their needs and develop strategic recommendations
• Develop new insights into issues and examine them from different angles
• Collaborate with colleagues to produce exceptional deliverables for clients
• Write well-structured and persuasive end products
• Play a significant supporting role in formal and informal presentations
• Identify creative and useful additional analyses required and suggest new paradigm for recommendations
• Leverage subject matter expertise from Advisors partners globally on client engagements
• Become immersed in the fascinating, complex, and fast-moving payments and technology industry and develop payments-industry knowledge
• Rigorously leverage MasterCard's internal data resources, including information from over $4T in yearly transactions, to uncover and communicate meaningful insights
• Play key role in capture of assignment knowledge and drives to ensure it is available firm-wide
• Leverage deep knowledge of all the MasterCard Advisors capabilities and how they fit together to create customized and relevant solutions for client
• Actively share tools, methodologies and best practices across projects
• Contribute to the development of intellectual capital in special interest groups

All about you:

Education:
Undergraduate degree required
Master's Degree required, ideally in scientific subjects such as business, economics, engineering, mathematics

• Excellent analytical skills and communication skills
• Excellent client management & engagement management skills; collaborates well across
multiple communication channels
• Interest in payments/bankcards and financial institutions
• Knowledge of business development and sales
• Proven team player with proven ability to work with all levels in a highly intellectual, collaborative, and fast paced environment
• Past experience abroad is required (Erasmus, exchange projects, work experience, …)
• Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

Languages: Fluent French and English (written and verbal) required and additional language skills highly desirable
