Manager - Product Development and Innovation- Product Platform Architect

Overview:

You will take part in the creation of comprehensive designs, specifications and technical blueprints. This position includes the evaluation and understanding of the future or existing platform architecture, evaluate how it aligns to Mastercard Standards, creating designs for integration approach for all technical aspects. This includes Network solution, Security, software applications, cloud environments and Data management.
Translate business needs to technical capabilities for inclusion in platform roadmaps. Communicate available and planned business/technology capabilities and identify capability gaps. Promote & converge solutions to common technology foundation. Partner with other technical architects for planning of current/future foundation capabilities and for developing target state architectures for business solutions.

All About You:
You are an experienced technical product architect with roots in software development who understands the importance and value of both technical and functional requirements specifications as well as acceptance criteria in modern iterative Agile software development. You have a positive, can-do attitude and consistently strive to successfully deliver high-quality and timely products and features that exceed stakeholder and customer expectations. You will be collaborating with technical leaders across the company to ensure our API products align with business objectives and meet the latest API standards in the industry.

Responsible for:
• Create and document a common technical vision and architectural roadmap.
• Partner with project managers, technical teams and customer delivery teams to assist with key technical decisions and solution design.
• Understand the business processes, align business vision and needs to technology solutions.
• Create a robust architecture framework and enforce across all technology teams and systems.
• Support global solution engineering and architecture efforts and provide inputs for key decisions.
• Work with a matrix organization and partner with global teams.
• Propose recommendations on key technology tools and processes.
• Working directly with our newest partners or customers to understand their technical challenges and needs.
• Technical writing and experience creating compelling technical visualizations and presentations.

Skills & Experience:

•8+ years of hands-on-experience architecting, leading, and delivering solutions related to enterprise integration, APIs, service-oriented architecture.
•Should have good knowledge on SDLC processes. Experience with SOA/REST APIs/Microservices concepts.
•Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint, CloudHub, and API Management will be an added advantage.
•Deep understanding of cloud native design.
•Experience in API design, including style, versioning, evaluation, management, gateway, orchestration.
•Should possess good knowledge on IT Application architecture, Design methodologies across multiple platforms.
•Should have good understanding on non-functional areas like performance, scalability, human interaction, software ergonomics.
•Should have clarity on what business wants and ability to transform them to technology solutions.
•Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Architect.
•Experience in bringing product to market.
•Experience and comfort in working with cross-functional teams.
•Experience working with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
•Experience working with cloud providers (such as AWS, Azure, etc).
•Understanding of open source server software (such as NGINX, RabbitMQ, MYSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch).
•Excellent communication and leadership skills.
