Manager - Deal Analytics and Model Management

Role
The international markets (IMK) business unit (comprised of AP, Europe, LAC and MEA) has agreed to migrate the financial model used to develop commercial propositions to customers to one single tool common to all IMK geographies. This model will be used by deal management analysts from the Finance groups in each market, as well as the sales teams across IMK.

The international markets (IMK) business unit (comprised of AP, Europe, LAC and MEA) has agreed to migrate the financial model used to develop commercial propositions to customers to one single tool common to all IMK geographies. This model will be used by deal management analysts from the Finance groups in each market, as well as the sales teams across IMK.

The jobholder will be responsible to establish a center of expertise in Europe, in charge of managing this tool - Amongst other things the jobholder will
o Establish and manage the model governance (regional alignments, release management procedures, technical and end user documentation, testing procedures, model training)
o Maintain the business case model (incorporate model enhancements, changes, testing)
o Provide troubleshooting support to the IMK markets
o Evolve the tool to the next level (today excel VBA-based)
The jobholder will also lead ad hoc pan-European and/or global strategic initiatives aiming at streamlining/enhancing the deal process when it comes to deal analysis, reporting and infrastructure:
o Alignment of the business case model tool with Salesforce (CRS) requirements
o Development of deal reporting to support business decisions (country benchmarking, deal activity dashboards, deal performance dashboards)
o Development of business financial models for non-traditional ecosystems (ACH, Services)
Competencies
• Ability to transform business needs into technical requirements
• Advanced technical skills and VBA - Other programming languages are an asset.
• Highly skilled in dealing with financial models and numbers
• Possesses a natural collaborative style, and is able to work effectively and efficiently across the multiple areas and levels of the MasterCard organization
• Leadership presence and credibility with various levels of management, able to persuade, prioritize, motivate and influence others effectively to achieve MasterCard's business goal
• Stress resistant to cope with unexpected and multiple demands

All About You
• Degree in Finance or Economics.
• Advanced/Expert knowledge of excel and VBA. Other programming language is a plus.
• Strong experience, including experience in both financial and customer-facing roles.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• High potential with excellent financial, analytical, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Payment Industry dynamics and business drivers is a plus.
• Proactive and able to work well independently and in teams.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to deliver within agreed deadlines, to act with sense of urgency and prioritize tasks.
• Process minded with strong analytical skills.
• Solutions oriented and customer focused.
