Manager, Account Management


•The Account Manager will be a member of the Account Management team. Responsible for building strong relationships with the account and driving revenues in the corresponding market.
•The person in this position will be responsible of identifying new business opportunities for the acquiring business, and design and implement strategies to strengthen the account and grow MasterCard's revenue.

Due to wide diversity of business opportunities that this account generates, as well as the different levels of complexities required in servicing this account, the person responsible for this position should:

•Design, develop and lead the account business by understanding and knowing payments industry trends, players, products, technologies, etc., identifying business opportunities and delivering strong selling processes, leveraging MasterCard's products & services value proposition to manage account pain points, by understanding their competitive advantage, strategy and milestones.
•Increase MasterCard relevance (share and P&L participation) in the account through customized solutions that are aligned with the account strategy, and with sound financial results, aligning and interrelating MasterCard business strategy with the account's strategies, managing a successful roadmap through a strong relationship with the account and ensure alignment with all MasterCard internal areas, managing and leading internal MasterCard teams (Products, Marketing, operations, etc.) to design tailor-made solutions for the account, aligned with acquirers' strategies and financial requirements.
•Increase MasterCard's share in the account by identifying business opportunities, negotiating at Associate Director (Subdirector) level, and leading selling processes throughout all its stage, being responsible for data quality of presentations, information gathering and analytics in the sales process, including Salesforce.
•Ensure portfolio performance meets annual targets by managing its lifecycle, being responsible for portfolio P&L performance (drivers and revenue lines), optimizing MasterCard portfolio performance by negotiating and leading on a daily basis at Associate Director (Subdirector) level within Products and Portfolio Management account teams, contributing in defining the necessary actions to improve performance (including asset selling/monetization), being the face to face day to day relationship with all areas of the account, other than the acquiring teams: Marketing, Legal, Procurement, Risk, etc.
•Lead teams on his/her responsibility through ensuring performance, development, coaching and growth, tracking and managing the team to make sure they accomplish the objectives and grow within the company, aligned with senior sales account management level of the organization.
•Pursue strategic opportunities for MasterCard in the acquiring space, while developing compelling proposals to customers including solutions configuration, value added services and financial proposal.
•Focus on strategic accounts targeting large acquiring players, such as Elavon and EVO
•Goal is to achieve at least 200% acceptance growth in the next 5 years.

All About You

•Bachelor in Business Administration or related
•Graduate business degree preferred
•At least 5 years of relevant experience with market leaders in the payments industry, with demonstrated multi-disciplinary knowledge (e.g., customer lifecycle, credit/debit/prepaid/ CHIP/emerging technologies). Experience with acquiring business is a plus.
•Bilingual, English and Spanish required.
•Excellent analytical skills (e.g., cards P&L analysis, financial forecasting, competitive analysis)
•Superior presentation skills, written and oral, in both Spanish and English
•Proven ability to develop business relationships at all levels
•Results-oriented and customer-focused
