Director, Software Engineering


The Product & Digital Enablement Program delivers flexible, seamless configurations of products & services and provides choice in how solutions are created and delivered to our Customers
We create the infrastructure to digitize our products and solutions and simplifies the consumption of our products/services for our customers - allowing for speed to market.


•Provides Continuous Development of your team- Reoccurring 1-1 meetings focusing on giving individuals/ teams opportunities to demonstrate what they can do, know your people, manage their career development, understand who is at risk
•Recruits and hires the right talent, always bringing in someone that is better than at least half the individuals in the role in the org today
•Serves as Program Owner providing leadership across multiple functions and taking the ownership to ensure development and delivery of key objectives
•Solves difficult architecture and business problems. Outlines and takes opportunity to optimize, simplify, de-bottleneck
•Drives measurable improvements in the maintenance, operational and runtime characteristics of your team's platform.
•Introduces new technologies, recommends new platforms/libraries.

All About You
•Highly autonomous with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze quantitatively, scope technical requirements, and effectively prioritize program deliverables
•Comprehensive knowledge of team architecture. Makes trade-offs between short terms and long term needs.
•Master os design principles such as DRY, Single Responsibility, SOLID
•Fluent in 2 or more languages and conversant in 3-4 more (including JavaScript libraries, DSL, etc...)
•Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• A record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual, team leader and development manager
•Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management
•Ability to build rapport and relationship
•Knowledgeable - possessing the technical knowledge, market knowledge, and other specialized knowledge of the team's problem domain
•Proven ability to hold people and teams accountable, push responsibilities down to the team.
•Bachelors or Advanced Computing degree
•7+ years of development experience in B2B and/or B2C products
•3+ years of engineering management experience
