Director - Product Management (SME Segment)

Role
The scope of this new role is to grow the distribution and overall market share for Mastercard solutions in the Small Business segment through the following activities:
•Develop strategy to continue the build of overall commercial payments solutions across the SME segment. Develop optimal business model and value proposition to enable Mastercard to capture new payment flows, drive revenue and market share growth through partnerships.
•Engage customers/partners in strategic dialogue and partnerships covering the full spectrum of Mastercard assets, capabilities, and solutions.
•Continuously explore new distribution opportunities with regional banks. Develops winning propositions and proposals for all stakeholders in the distribution chain in partnership with the relevant Account Managers.
•Make new regional bank distribution a replicable process and accelerate new launches by actively learning from past go-to-market experiences. Identify new sales opportunities that will significantly increase MasterCard's share in the SME segment.
•Acts as a leader to identify opportunities for existing Small Business portfolio optimization through sales channel effectiveness and process optimization. Keeps small business cards top of mind in the bank sales channel, supports card education and training for regional bank employees through the effective use of sales toolkits & speaking at banking events.
•Prioritizes opportunities - based on business case/ROI - for developing differentiated propositions and product capabilities to create brand preference with end-users, fintechs and issuing partners.
•Has the drive and ability to engage with Senior Management executives at regional banks, achieve real engagement and drive Mastercard solutions higher up the small business banking agenda.
•Undertakes periodic local Small Business desk research and maintains an accurate and up-to-date view of SME trends and changing end customer needs in the market.
•Works with the local acceptance team on combined issuing/acquiring propositions and drive the number of Small Business acceptance locations.
