Director, Product Management, Asia Pacific Commercial Payments & Solutions

Overview

Commercial payments flows are sizeable and remains a very large opportunity for Mastercard. Today, there is $19 trillion of cardable opportunity globally across the point of sale (POS) and accounts payable (A/P) channels and within Asia Pacific, while the cardable opportunity is $3.5 trillion, less than 10% is carded.

The Director, Product Management, Asia Pacific Commercial Payments & Solutions will be responsible for developing and executing against a strategy to identify and build new payments businesses across Asia Pacific as well as optimize current business so as to help the region accelerate the growth across POS and accounts payable channels. Your responsibilities include identifying, assessing and closing on the opportunity, as well as architecting the solution aiming to capture relevant new payment flows in Asia Pacific.

Role
•Develop strategy to continue the build of overall commercial payments solutions, and identify new payments businesses for accounts payable so as to capture incremental opportunity in B2B across both carded and non-carded rails.
•Partner with key stakeholders to develop the product road map for new payment initiatives.
•Provide thought leadership on competition, industry trends and product functionality particularly in commercial payments including account to account, supply chain financing to support the expansion of new payment solutions.
•Define optimal business model and value proposition to enable Mastercard to capture new payments flows, drive revenue and market share growth.
•Work closely with key stakeholders to define and implement segment/category expansion strategies with specific focus on product differentiation
•Lead development and implementation of new product features and enhancements
•Work with Business Analysts to translate business requirements to technical teams
•Define Go-to-Market plans jointly with Global / Country teams
•Provide continual and timely education to the broader team.
•Coordinate and prioritize platform and product investments with key stakeholders
•Responsible for end to end delivery & implementation of projects as per budget, identifying and outlining functional requirements.
•Defining operating model and client implementation procedures.

All About You
•Good understanding of corporate requirements in the Transaction Banking area, with strong understanding of the payments industry in particular
•Demonstrated strong product management principles and development lifecycle experience
•B2B payments and trade finance experience with operational knowledge of accounts payable, procure to pay process
•Understanding of commercial cards will be required
•Demonstrated multi-disciplinary knowledge, i.e. product development, business development, marketing, operations, risk, emerging technologies, etc.
•Ability to work across functional groups and markets to synthesize product requirements and investment priorities into a compelling value propositions for customers
•Strong ability to interact with and influence, build consensus across a variety of internal business units and levels of leadership, external partners & clients, and service providers
•Strong financial analysis and business case modeling acumen
•Superior communication, presentation and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with and influence people across a matrix organization at all levels
