Director, Mastercard Send Platforms & Solutions

•Mastercard Send is a push payment platform at the cornerstone of our vision of a World Beyond Cash. Our services facilitate the secure delivery of funds between senders and receivers, typically within seconds. We support multiple use cases - person-to-person, business to business, disbursements, remittances and merchant payments. With our technology and expertise we are making sending money safe, simple and fast.
•The Director, Mastercard Send Platforms & Solutions, will be part of the Platform team and be responsible for solution design of innovative push payment use cases. This role requires partnering with internal and external teams to design solutions to solve challenging business and technical problems.

•Engage and drive solution design efforts with key customers and/or key opportunities to help formulate and solve for business, product and technical requirements. Partner with domestic and cross-border commercialization, product development, operations, technology, user experience and service definition teams to help formulate and design processes and service architecture.
•Maintain a deep understanding of our product technical specifications to quickly assess scope and impact as solutions are discussed with teams/organizations less familiar with the Mastercard Send product specifications.
•Actively partner with other product functions across New Payment Platforms, Digital Payments and Mastercard Labs to integrate activities and co-create solutions for delivery in new markets, products or services.
•Create or manage the development of prototypes and POCs that allow Mastercard Send products team to validate new ideas/solutions and collect customer feedback.
•Work closely with regional partners and commercialization teams on concept assessment and formulate technical approaches to the problems that can then be vetted with the broader Push Payment leadership team. Inform the product roadmap of Mastercard Send by articulating the technical options before product development is engaged on a project. Transfer technical knowledge with product development and O&T when the project is initiated.
•Reports to Senior Business Leader - Mastercard Send, Core Products & Solutions. Location: US - New York City, NY or Purchase, NY. Position requires up to 20% travel

All About You
Experience/Education requirements
•Strong passion for and expertise in payment products and technology and e/m-commerce
•A good technical understanding and experience of working with developers and technical architects in systems and solutions development
•Technical experience in Webservice technology (Java, SOAP, JSON), integration and development
•Prior knowledge of Mastercard Send APIs or other ACH or P2P APIs a plus
•Knowledge of Android or iOS App development for purposes of solution validation, a definite plus
•Bachelor's degree in science or engineering preferred, Advanced degree or MBA a plus
•Strong track record of driving tangible business results. Can break down a problem to it's component pieces and devise a plan to methodically tackle each piece.
•Sound business judgment with established problem solving and analysis skills
•Excellent organizational skills; project delivery and project management experience
•Superior communications, presentation and interpersonal skills. Can communicate complex technical concepts at both a detailed technical level and at business level.
•Strong ability to interact with and influence, build consensus and influence across a variety of internal business units and levels of leadership
•Can learn quickly, is self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team environment
