Job Title

Director, Digital Payments Marketing & Comms

The role of Director, Digital Payments Marketing and Communications will have a dual report into the VP of B2B Marketing and the VP of Communications. The role will support the Digital Payments team, the Digital and Emerging Partnerships team, and the Mastercard Labs team.

The key functions of the role will be:
•Develop differentiating value propositions and product positioning for our growing suite of digital products and solutions.
•Support RFPs and pitches to win new business.
•Support business development efforts by running demand generation campaigns and delivering sales qualified leads to sales teams.
•Work with partners on marketing plans.
•Support new product development by sharing insights, developing value props and creating collateral material.
•Leverage communications channels to keep Mastercard in the news across press releases, research platforms/content collaborations, interviews of key stakeholders, industry events etc.
•Identify ways to get our message and spokespersons in front of potential digital partners
•Position our teams and their stakeholders as thought leaders and experts in the area of digital payments.
•Execute a range of consumer usage campaigns embedding marketing asset/content as differentiator at a regional level.
•Engage the startup community through programs such as StartPath, Launch Pad and Hackethons.
•Develop employee engagement initiatives to help socialize this, future focused, area of Mastercard's evolution as a company

All About You
•Must have at least 15 years' experience working with technology products or solutions. Payments technology category an advantage. Should have worked at a technology startup or technology major.
•Deep experience in marketing and communications. Sales or Business Development experience an added advantage.
•Confidence interacting with customers and representing Mastercard effectively.
•Experience running demand generation campaigns online.
•Comfortable working closely with senior leadership by demonstrating presence, composure and resourcefulness.
•Ability to work independently, with ambiguity and in a fast paced environment.
•Experience managing a wide variety of agencies across: creative, PR and activation.
•Must have very strong written and verbal communication skills
