Director, Deal Management
Manage the customer business development (deal) process and allocation of resources/assets to US Markets Account Teams in the development and pursuit of customer business deals.
Responsible for the establishment, management and execution of strategic and complex customer business agreements. Ensure through organizational planning the consistent execution of agreements by identifying and working with all required stakeholders. Establish mutually quantifiable goals that drive profitability for MasterCard. Assist in the development and implementation of long-term strategies to enhance MasterCard profitability and competitive leverage. Assist by providing consultative support, thought leadership, strategy development, innovative ideas and approaches to the senior management team of US Markets.
Manage, with the Customer Account Teams, the development, negotiation and finalization of customer business agreements requiring multiple touch points within MasterCard.
Ensure the consistent execution of agreements that align with MasterCard objectives.
Work with US Markets Management in the joint-development of account strategy and with the respective account leads to execute the strategy and performance objectives to meet the target revenues and metrics.
Work cross functionally within US Markets, Finance and GP&S in development of business plans and opportunities.
Lead the Customer business development process for assigned accounts
Oversee the management and reporting of business agreements and performance analytics.
Continuously improve the quality and "success rate" of MasterCard's proposals, particularly in the following areas:
Continued evaluation of the deal process to deliver efficiencies and value added improvements (i.e. ensuring the development of reusable modules/approaches/assets/standardization)
Maintain the development of repeatable processes for effective deal management embodying best practices and innovative approaches that can be replicated and emulated across the sales organization
Provide training to various segments within US Markets on deal strategy and financial modeling
Participate in customer negotiations and presentations as required

Demonstrates thought leadership and strategic thinking in payments industry and is able to provide both an executive and operational perspective in complex deal situations
Possesses a natural collaborative style, and is able to work effectively and efficiently across the multiple areas and levels of the MasterCard organization
Leadership presence and credibility with various levels of management
Ability to communicate effectively with customers at various management levels
Strong financial acumen with the ability to deliver recommendations and thoughtful analysis regarding US Markets opportunities
Degree in Finance or Economics
