Cloud Engineering Manager
• Mastercard Cloud Native Engineering team is responsible for engineering the cloud native
platform and services for Mastercard's cloud transformation.

The successful candidate for this position will:
o be responsible for leading a small team of Software Engineers for the development and
delivery of quality software solutions in a timely and cost effective manner.
o be responsible for the analysis, design, development and delivery of software solutions
o define requirements for new applications and customizations, adhering to standards, processes and best practices
You will actively lead a small scrum agile team to engineer, develop, test and deliver cloud native services and designs, reporting tools and supporting systems. You have great fundamental engineering skills across multiple technologies and approaches. You are an advocate for technical change who always leaves things better than you found them.
•Formally supervises, coaches, and develops a work group/team
•Ensures own team(s) compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal process
•Coach and guide employees within own team(s)
•Provides leadership related to specific applications and systems, or software-
•Establish & monitor objectives for the department and staff members to align with
department strategies and objectives.
•Successfully lead definition, development and delivery of cross-department initiatives with
broad scope and long-term business implications;
•Provide recommendations to Senior Management on selection of technologies and
strategic technical direction for the department.
•Partner with business to identify innovative solutions and drive strategic decisions.
•Develop business case in alignment with the Mastercard objectives.
•Actively look for opportunities for innovation and creative problem solving.
•Make presentations to the Senior Management, Business Owners and other Stakeholders
and help them in decision making process.
•Lead implementation of processes and supporting tools per the evolving needs of the
•Identifying process gaps, provide estimates for business solutions, define the initial
scope/requirements of the project and manage the scope during the lifecycle of the
•Plan overall project scope as well as define scope for each phase and iteration to meet
business needs/time-to-market needs.
•Ensure the project or effort is adequately staffed; trained and managed. Ensure personnel
have appropriate skills and behaviors; and effectively communicate performance results;
as necessary, managing each effort within approved manpower and budget guidelines.
•Actively lead software engineering team by designing, coding, testing and deploying, and
driving on positive change in collaboration with other Development Team Managers

•DRIVEN, HIGH MOTIVATION FOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
•Expert in cloud /virtualization/data center services Engineer or equivalent
•Experience architecting and or implementing cloud or virtualization based enterprise
•Demonstrated experience and knowledge of enterprise infrastructure including OS,
Cloud/Virtualization, Networking, Security, and Systems Management
•Experience in developing client requirements and architectural designs
•Expert in developing solutions architecture for infrastructure and platform as a service
•Experience in developing client strategy and planning to create pre-sales action plans for
proof of concepts
•Hands on knowledge of the concepts of one of the following: VMWare ESX/vCloud,
Amazon AWS, CloudStack, OpenStack, Azure, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Pivotal Cloud
