Job Title

Analyst, Systems Analysis

The Analyst, merchant data analysis, within Enterprise Data Solutions, is responsible for data systems analysis, data quality, data expertise, and governance of transactional, merchant, and 3rd-party data available in the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Specifically, resources in this role act as liaisons between MasterCard business and technical teams in areas such analysis, audits and controls, and report definition and creation. The Engineer Data Analyst will review, analyse, and ensure the quality of data loads into database systems.
The Data Analyst will partner with business partners and technology teams to profile the data, research data anomalies and trends, and to document data profiling outcomes.

Major Accountabilities:
•Utilize existing tools to analyse data according to defined business rules and procedures.
•Construct, document, communicate and perform validations on Merchant data to verify data integrity.
•Document and publish requirements
•Provide technical analysis of product or application hardware and software to ensure that business and functional requirements can be met.
•Prioritize and identify cross application/system enhancements.
•Provide technical support to business owners during implementation of new products/services and provide subject matter expertise for support escalations.

Knowledge / Experience:
•SQL, data analysis
•Broad understanding of Data concepts.
•Demonstrate MC Core Competencies.

•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education

Skills/ Abilities:
•Proven experience in data analysis, technology or related experience
•Ability to work with a large organization and build SME relationships
•Provide strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
•Some SQL knowledge is preferred.
•Ability to follow Mastercard standards, metrics and audit procedures.
•Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
•Ability to convey technical issues/problems to both programmers and management.
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative, and organization skills.
•High-energy, detail-oriented, and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
