Analyst, Research & Insights
•The Global Insights & Analytics team helps lead the organization by immersing the Consumer, Issuer, Merchant and other Customers in every conversation throughout the business. We deliver unbiased, actionable, forward-thinking foresights, insights, and analytics that drive successful innovation, design and communication.
•This position plays a critical role in providing strategic, data-driven insights and recommendations to MasterCard management and business units around the globe.
•The successful candidate possesses a strong business acumen coupled with expert business and marketing analytics fundamental skills.
•S/he also has masterful communication skills in bringing insights to life for the business so that we become the go-to resources for Marketing Analytics across the organization.

•Ability to demonstrate a level of expertise in business and marketing analytics, data management, and database applications and tools.
•Knowledge and understanding of analytic methodologies and database marketing best practices.
•Sound business acumen and superior presentation/communication skills.
•Ability to synthesize multiple intelligence and data sources to bring to life insights for the organization.
•Experience influencing and directing people outside of their reporting structure.
All About You
•You are a determined pattern-finder and one that excels in problem-solving.
•Experience as a data scientist/specialist with intermediate knowledge of analytic methodologies, modeling, database applications, and coding languages. SQL, Python/R and Excel based coding a must with experience in Hadoop using Impala, Hive, or Spark. SAS a plus.
•Ability to create complex queries and data set joins.
•Ability to demonstrate strong expertise in business analytics and consumer insights.
•Demonstrated ability to understand complex & large data sets and distill a simple yet robust story.
•Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally in a matrixed organization.
•Experience in Financial Technology and Machine Learning a plus.
