Marketing: Marketing and Communications Coordinator

The Details

Mashable is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our rapidly growing team.

This position is responsible for supporting the Marketing and Communications team
by securing placements for Mashable editorial staff, executives and content in the media, creating marketing collateral for use across the company and coordinating other marketing activities.

This position is based in our New York headquarters and reports directly to the Director of Marketing.


The Day to Day

  • Pitch out select Mashable editorial staff for daily broadcast and radio appearances. 
  • Secure panels and speaking opportunities for Mashable staff at key industry events such as SXSW, CES and Vidcon. 
  • Work with Director of Communications to develop and implement distribution plans for Mashable Studios videos through direct media outreach and social channels. 
  • Manage and curate MashableHQ social media assets (Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr).  
  • Assist the Director of Communications in building decks for Mashable executives presentations at industry events.
  • Assist the Director of Communications with internal communications (i.e. Company newsletter). 
  • Edit and maintain Mashable's corporate 'About Us' site. 
  • Assist the Director of Marketing with updating and maintaining marketing collateral throughout the company (brand kits, sizzle reels, logos). 
  • Serve as the day-to-day point person for Mashable's media partnerships and create supporting content.


Must Haves

  • Independent and self-motivated 
  • Street smart with the ability to prioritize projects while working across multiple departments and subject areas
  • General understanding and interest in the media industry 
  • Ability to be flexible with work hours in a fast paced environment
  • Comfortable working with senior level leaders and executives on a regular basis
