As part of this program, the Corporate Strategic Finance MBA Internship presents a unique opportunity to engage with the most senior levels of the Mars, Inc. finance organization and gain exposure to a diversified portfolio of global businesses.

What are we looking for?

  • We are looking for humble, hungry, agile MBA students who have a drive for results, a desire to learn, and who can quickly build relationships.
  • Intermediate skills related to financial modeling, corporate finance concepts, segment-level and enterprise-level financial analysis, financial systems, economic profit, valuation concepts, large data sets, market research, and data analytics.
  • Intermediate knowledge of financial data and the nuances behind such data. Proficiency in working with non-financial data and using such data to extract insights, inform financial results, expected outcomes, decision criteria, and decision making.
  • Strong organizational skills, initiative, curiosity, ability to self-lead, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Elevated interest in peer and mentor engagement for career development.
  • Eligible candidates will intern the summer prior to their final graduation date.
  • Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work sponsorship
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug & background screening

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop and execute on a summer research project intended to drive executive-level insights intended for the Mars, Inc. CFO, the VP of FP&A, and Segment Finance Leadership.
  • Assist the Corporate Strategic Finance Team with ad hoc requests and recurring responsibilities related to financial planning, peer analysis, macro and industry-based research, Mars, Inc. and segment performance commentary and insights, internal data gathering and analysis, building tools for capital deployment analysis and prioritization, and slide building intended for Mars Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
  • Draft and execute a Personal Development Plan (PDP) for purposeful skill and career planning - including active self-training and engagement with mentors and peers.
