Statistical Analyst

The purpose of this position is to perform statistical analyses and develop predictive response models to project potential customer behaviors in a direct marketing environment.

This position possesses a broad understanding of complex statistical analysis and all related applications. Serves as a subject matter expert and applies advanced industry knowledge. Investigates new tools and technologies that will aid in data analysis. Handles special projects as assigned by management. Mentors and provides feedback and guidance to other team members.

  • Develops analytical and data mining solutions to improve customer acquisition, product upgrades/cross-sells and retention campaigns.
  • Performs statistical analyses of both acquisition and policyholder sales marketing activities.
  • Develops and maintains statistical models used to predict potential customers, predict the potential of insurers to lapse coverage, and segment the current insured and uninsured member population for marketing campaigns.
  • Searches for new market segments and opportunities through statistical data mining methods, mapping of current and potential customers, and new data sources, as well as, creates and analyzes customer profiles for end users.
  • Interacts with marketers and other end users to ensure the proper use and interpretation of statistical information and to discover new ways of retaining and communicating with customers.
  • Coordinates, tracks, analyzes, and reports project results utilizing technical research software and information from supporting systems.
  • Supports daily marketing activities such as test designs, sample sizes, confidence intervals, and ad hoc requests.
