Lead Java Developer

As the Lead Java Developer you will assist applications developers in setting up codes, testing and debugging new and/or existing software along with providing high-level technical support to clients. The Lead Java Developer:

  • Serves as technical expert on the team, implements on complex projects with less specificity and direction. Considers and recommends future enhancements to applications.
  • Oversees, designs, Codes, tests and debugs software programs and meets project plan goals.
  • Provides high-level technical support to clients on existing problems escalated as appropriate.
  • Provides support through help desk; monitors trends and results from technical support calls to advise team members on performance of existing systems.
  • Works with team to develop project plans and communicate software development plans.
  • Works independently to design and develop technical modules.
  • Assists with repairing coding problems.
Qualifications BA/ BS in computer science or related field or corresponding experience 3+ years of application development experience preferred Demonstrated experience in application development Strong experience in Java, JavaScript, Oracle, and HTML Prefer experience with Pega, PL/SQL, Client-Side, Visual Studio.NET, ASP.NET, C# Experience developing multi-tier Internet/Intranet applications, preferably in cross-browser environments Demonstrated analytic and design capabilities Working knowledge of database design Marsh is a global leader in insurance broking and risk management.
