Global Finance Business Partner

Position Summary:

Under the guidance of the Global Finance Director, the Global Finance Business Partner is responsible for managing the financial planning, analysis and business decision support for one or more Corporate Functions which may include but not limited to Global Shared Services. This position has a global focus and is responsible for all financial planning analysis activites.

Responsibilities:

Business Financial Leadership:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships/partnership with the Functional Leaders of functions supported as well as corporate finance staff
  • Along with the Global Finance Director partner with Functional Leaders in the budgeting / financial planning activities for their respective groups using department objectives and initiatives while aligning with corporate guidance
  • Provide insight to functional leads on financial performance, risks and trends
  • In conjunction with the Global Finance Director, support Functional Leaders, as needed on due diligence activities related to Infrastructure programs and services as well as OpCo acquisition/dispositions

Reporting & Analytics:
  • Provide functional team, Corporate finance and OpCo finance with relevant, consistent and timely management information
  • Provide analytical support and financial oversight to the functional head
  • Coordinate with the Global Finance Director to develop and implement a standard allocation approach that provides full cost transparency for all functional costs
  • Ensure that allocations are performed in accordance with agreed upon allocation methodologies and communicated to the OpCos/departments in a timely manner
  • Coordinate the documentation of all financial processes and procedures

Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Coordinate budgets and forecasts, as required, Provide analytics, trends and prepare budget review presentations for use by the Global Finance Director Global Finance Business Partner and/or Regional Functional Leader(s) as required

Consolidated Functional Reporting
  • Develop and report total consolidated costs for the Function(s )
  • In order to streamline and automate the reporting process coordinate the function's financial reporting, supply outputs to the OpCos finance teams and ensure that costs are being recorded correctly
  • Report on total capital expenditures (budget & actual) the function
  • Report on total function(s) allocations across OpCos as necessary
  • Ensure all consolidated reporting follows timelines prescribed

Has responsibility for people management of direct reports including but not limited to:
  • Assigning, directing, and evaluating work
  • Conducting performance evaluations and career development discussions
  • Ensuring appropriate orientation and on-going education / training
  • Recommend salary and bonus actions
  • Recommend hiring, disciplining and firing employees

Special Projects:
  • as requested by the Global Finance Director - Corporate FP&A
