Billing Associate - Billing, Trion Group, a Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC.

The primary role of the Billing Associate is to support the Benefits Administration Accounting Department. This position is responsible for invoicing clients and agencies direct for benefit administration services. The Billing Associate will process monthly invoices for client and agencies and work directly with the Billing Coordinator on policy deadlines, processes and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Invoice processing and reporting needs on a monthly basis
  • Enter data into accounting software system
  • Maintain new contacts and renewals
  • Maintain and update filing system for the Benefits Administration division; retrieve information from files when needed
  • Assist Finance colleagues with reconciliations and ad hoc projects

  • Bachelor Degree is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an accounting/billing position
  • Intermediate skill utilizing MS Excel (i.e. functions, formulas, etc.) is required
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and MS Access software preferred

    Knowledge of Sagitta preferred
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Strong analytical skills are required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work
  • Must be highly detail oriented
  • Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in use of PC such as keyboard skills and electronic folder/file organization and management
  • Aptitude for learning internal systems, applications and internal work flow of the department
  • Excellent troubleshooting, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team member
  • Ability to multitask and successfully operate in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service and maintain positive relationships with client and internal contacts
