Technical Program Manager, Ethos Platform Engineering

The Ethos Team is looking for an energetic and creative Technical Program Manager who enjoys working directly with engineering teams. The Ethos platform supports Containerization, Clusterization, CI/CD, self-service provisioning, tooling, and security controls "as-a-service" for hundreds of development teams at Adobe.

You have at least a basic understanding of how web services and supporting platforms work (IAAS/SAAS/PAAS):
5+ years total industry (SAAS, PAAS, IAAS) experience
2+ years of recent experience as a hands-on PgM/TPgM actively managing multiple projects in an Agile development environment
2+ years other experience working in SAAS/PAAS/SAAS environment - technical customer support, technical writer, quality or automation engineer, software engineer, release engineer, release manager
You have been through several iterations of product/platform development from concept through supporting live installation.

You have the experience and basic technical background to follow conversations focused on identifying requirements and issues
You have retained the lessons learned and gotcha's from previous projects you have been on (in any role) and apply that knowledge to current projects.
You thrive on being in the thick of it, providing structure and air cover for the engineering teams so they can focus on product development work.
You do more than play word association with technical details - you understand that effective Program Managers need to have a basic understanding of the technology they are working with; your background and love of learning makes it easy for you to get up to speed and stay current with new developments.
You are comfortable engaging and working with cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.
You feel a deep personal responsibility for getting the programs and projects you own out the door.
You find yourself stepping up to unblock issues when everyone else is hanging back, you feel compelled to chase all loose ends.
Getting great software built is more important to you than defining the best process.

What you'll do:
Manage and drive Ethos Observability and Developer Experience initiatives, including defining key milestones, creating schedules, own the definition and communication of all dates.
Work with Ethos Product Management, Engineering Managers, Engineering Leads and clients to define, plan, and drive the execution of initiatives and other work for Observability/Developer Experience
Partner with the Ethos Lead Security Engineer to manage the Ethos Security and Compliance Backlog, including tracking and coordinating quarterly and annual security events, represent Security and Compliance needs in Ethos Roadmap planning to ensure that Security and Compliance requirements are incorporated into all initiatives and component areas.
Work with Ethos Theme Program Manager to maintain Ethos presence is company-wide tracking systems and assist with the managing and coordination of the Ethos internal issues tracking system and associated processes.

You're a master at follow through - if you say you'll do something you do it.
You are interested in technology and software/platform development - you have a basic understanding of the ins/outs of building backend (preferably cloud based) applications/platforms and want to learn more.
You're curious by nature, a self-directed and passionate learner. You understand that technology is always changing, and that Program Managers need to have a strategy to keep up with current developments.
You are meticulous and detailed oriented while driving towards larger strategic goals.
