Senior Big Data Platform/Integration Solution Engineer

The Role:

Our team oversees data architecture, data Engineering, insights and analytics across Creative Cloud and large parts of Digital Media. In this role you will be working on the cutting edge of a suite of the latest technologies, we need someone who is a problem solver, creative, resourceful, and can work independently as well as collaboratively. The ideal candidate can think strategically, act tactically, and can influence change from the top down.

What you'll do:

  • Work with and build data platform components, integrations that enables contextual experiences
  • Work with variety of distributed platforms and systems, with deep understanding of databases, data in storage and data in motion
  • Create efficient data ingestion with data in motion & data at rest with low latency systems and data warehouses
  • Create and maintain solutions, frameworks, data pipelines which involve both batch and streams
  • Create or improve engineering efficiency, automate manual steps, improve monitoring and alerting solutions which are already in place
  • Work as part of a team with different disciplines in solving big data & personalization challenges
  • Work on instrumentation and ingestion SDK for product usage and behavioral data on Web, Mobile, Desktop apps & services
  • Be able to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving, fast-paced agile development environment
  • Innovate on new ideas to solve customer needs
  • Perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments and use this in designing the solution
  • Identify existing technical problems in the infrastructure or data engineering architecture, design and implement, build solutions to solve
  • Interface with users as needed to gather requirements, document use cases, map solutions & make recommendations


Qualifications:
  • 5-7+ years of professional software and data engineering experience on customer-facing products
  • Strong understanding & experience using Amazon, Microsoft Azure technologies to build scalable and robust solutions
  • Experience with building applications using Serverless Architecture
  • Experience in full stack development & integrations on Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Strong enterprise development experience using Java, Node, Python
  • Strong experience in programming languages, technologies such as: Javascript frameworks, HTML5, CSS, RESTful Services, C++, Spark, Kafka, Redis, etc.
  • Strong experience using Hadoop or Map/Reduce solutions & other Big Data technologies to process large volumes of data such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, HBase, Oozie, Flume, ZooKeeper, MongoDB, Cassandra & open source technologies
  • Strong experience with data transformation & ETL on large data sets
  • Strong experience in API, REST services & custom integrations
  • Ability to multi-task simultaneous different projects with strong verbal & written communication skills, proactive and customer focused
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or comparable experience
