Privacy, Trust & Safety Policy Specialist

At Adobe, you'll join our Legal Privacy, Trust & Safety team. We're seeking a passionate, collaborative, and thoughtful policy specialist who has prior experience developing policies that mitigate legal risk and enhance user trust. This candidate will partner with several stakeholders to develop, scale, and enforce UGC policies for Adobe's products and services.

This full-time position will be based in our San Francisco or San Jose office.



WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work closely with Product Legal, Sales Legal, Sales, Customer Success, and Comms teams to research, develop, and refine acceptable use policies to mitigate risk and protect Adobe's brand
  • Establish and perform due diligence on prospective customers to ensure compliance with relevant internal policies, laws, and regulations
  • Respond to policy escalations from internal Adobe teams around the world and communicate our policies in a clear and objective way
  • Work with legal counsel to monitor key legislative and user behavior trends, and surface those trends to drive process, policy, or infrastructure changes
  • Manage complicated cross-functional projects
  • Build and support positive relationships with internal teams
  • Assist in the continued development and improvement of all aspects of Adobe's Trust & Safety program



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience
  • 2+ years' experience working in policy, enforcement or online operations
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others to advance complex projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • A detail-oriented, collaborative, business-friendly team player who can think creatively and make decisions in a data-driven way
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a great sense of humor and commitment to professionalism
  • Must be comfortable working with sensitive and/or disturbing content



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • 3+ years' experience working on content policy and/or online abuse issues
  • Prior experience developing ads or acceptable use policies a plus, especially as it pertains to highly regulated goods or services
  • Familiarity with Adobe products and services
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with metrics and developing data-driven proposals
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and negotiate prioritization of policy changes
