Experience Designer, Photoshop

Adobe Design is seeking an Experience Designer to join the Photoshop team. We define the future of creative tools for creative people, just like you! From the small details, to big-picture feature concepts, to long-term strategy, our work is put to the test by millions of customers across a variety of fields and experience levels every single day.

What you'll be working on

Adobe Photoshop is at a pivotal point! Last year, we launched Photoshop on iPad, effectively creating a Photoshop experience that spans multiple devices and diverse contexts. Your contribution will be to refine these existing experiences as well as forge a new class of experience standards for desktop, mobile, and web products for years to come.


  • Create user experience goals, priorities, and deliverables that help define the product roadmap, coordinate multiple projects to completion, and drive adoption of features in our creative tools

  • Engage with multiple project partners, including researchers, content strategists, product managers, engineers, and other designers in drafting and brainstorming initial concepts

  • Work closely with designers to define visual language and patterns

  • Convey design ideas via sketches, storyboards, hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes, or animations

  • Work across a wide range of projects, technologies, and devices

  • Support development teams throughout the implementation cycle


What you'll bring to the team

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in interaction design, new media design, HCI, or related design field

  • Proficiency in fundamental visual and interaction design principles

  • A mobile-first approach that favors touch-friendly interfaces and responsive grids

  • A proven track record of great design and strategy that meets user needs, product requirements, and business objectives

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Experience working iteratively with an agile engineering team

  • Ability to work within a cross-functional team and synthesize feedback and input from multiple partners

  • Willingness and ability to contribute to the creative spirit of the Adobe Design team and the company

  • An insatiable curiosity for how creative people do what they do and how technology plays a role in the creative process


Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience crafting user interactions for automation and features driven by machine learning and artificial intelligence

  • Experience working with or conducting your own research, presenting results, and acting on those results

  • Strong prototyping abilities, either via web standards or responsive design tools
