Enterprise Data Scientist

You will be a key contributor on the Account Based Marketing (ABM) Measurement & Insights team. You will perform exploratory analysis and predictive modeling on digital marketing data to support new business development and customer retention. This role will require you to surface new signals, trends, and insights based on customer and prospect data (structured and unstructured) and translate proofs of concept into scalable products with data engineers. You are responsible for generating strategic insights from the data to inform B2B marketing planning, audience segmentation and targeting, program/media mix and content recommendations. You will facilitate a feedback loop between marketing performance and strategy, ultimately guiding Marketers on improving customer engagement strategies across 1:1, 1:Few and 1:Many contexts.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to shifting conditions, priorities, and deadlines, is meticulous and is a self-starter.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning, stitching and analyzing data (structured and unstructured) and then translating it into an easily relatable and easily understood finding, that resonates with internal partners.
  • Building predictive models from profile and behavioral data to aid account selection, prioritization and personalization.
  • Applying best-practice machine learning techniques to improve and iterate on models and ultimately generate "next best action" recommendations.
  • Mining and examining trends and patterns in data to find the "a ha" nugget; connecting new data sources with Marketing & Sales applications; scaling B2B feature sets.
  • Collaborating with data engineering teams on data architecture and deploying models to production; ensuring the models are performant and value-adding for the business.

What you need to succeed:

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in a data scientist or business analyst role, working with large, differentiated data sets within varying industries preferred.
  • BS/BA in statistics, economics, computer science, mathematics or a relevant field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience working for: a leading technology company, a strategy/management consulting organization, a digital agency, or a corporate marketing department strongly desired.
  • Experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) strongly recommended
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, including conducting research, analyzing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations.
  • Use analytical approaches to real business situations - the data is messy, inputs are different, and there are lots of nuances.
  • Proficient with machine learning and statistics, this includes test design for optimization and predictive analytics techniques - supervised and unsupervised learning.
  • Experience with R or Python.
  • Proficient in database querying (SQL, or Hive).
  • Familiarity with Web Analytics / Clickstream data, Adobe Analytics preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and balance multiple partners.
  • Passion for big data and translating said data and trends into meaningful insights and stories!
  • Excellent packager and presenter of complex concepts and dense data (an Excel and PowerPoint wiz).
  • Ability to communicate ideas convincingly (verbally and in writing) to all types of functions and levels.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills.
