Our Site Reliability Engineering organization is looking for someone to manage the EMEA team. This includes providing leadership to managers, their teams and their technical staff, collaborating with engineering on customer impacting improvements and fixes, recruiting and development of engineering and operations staff, and guiding and exceeding team metrics.
The SRE Manager will have the responsibility for providing the regional operations strategy and its execution by defining world class technical services and processes that enable the successful hosting of our customers in our data centers and cloud environments. The manager will deliver best practices and methodologies to provide outstanding service and support for our EMEA customer base. This role requires someone with a proven track record of leading multiple geographically dispersed teams, having deep technical knowledge and experience in growing teams.
What you'll do
Lead efforts to hire, develop, and build strong technical teams in multiple locations.
Define and drive the hosting strategy of our customer base in EMEA
Collaborate closely with other regional leaders to align on strategy and improvements on operational hosting approaches.
Coordinate with SRE teams in other regions to ensure Adobe delivered a consistently excellent experience to our customers.
Define and drive our operational processes ensuring Adobe exceeds SLAs with EMEA customers.
Own and bring to conclusion regional customer escalations by working with multi-functional teams in Support, Development and Operations teams.
Deliver an outstanding experience for our customers through exceeding critical metrics effectively.
Design and develop new ways of working with internal teams to support outstanding customer experience through regular communication with key stakeholders and partners.
Drive others to complete needed items in a diverse team environment with a sense of urgency to resolve customer issues.
Define and drive operational readiness of customers - from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement
Participate in weekend and holiday on-call rotation as required and significant travel will be required for this role.
What you need to be successful
A minimum of 10 years in engineering or operations facing leadership role, preferably in technology or a related industry, and 5 years experience leading multiple, geographically distributed teams, preferable in an engineering or operations leadership role.
Ability to define, communicate, collaborate and execute on an operational strategy within a complex, fast paced environment with distributed teams.
Ability to define and prioritize workload effectively and to manage expectations with key partners and executives.
Excellent information management practices, such as writing thoroughly detailed documentation, usage of wikis and git, and other collaboration tools.
Willingness to jump in and lead in complex, uncertain situations, communicating with internal partners throughout.
Demonstrate strong EQ and social skills with demonstrable capabilities in working effectively with people at all levels, including senior leaders.
Analytical and logical thinker with the ability to apply creative solutions to resource constrained situations.
French language skills are a plus.
