Position Summary

Adobe IT's Enterprise Solutions Services (ESS) organization partners with Adobe's business units and functions to deliver innovative IT solutions to enable them to reach their strategic objectives. The Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers who will establish and nurture a collaborative relationship with ESS and its customers. This motivated, driven individual will understand their strategic priorities and needed business capabilities, determine gaps in current systems capabilities, define technical specifications, and successfully deliver targeted business value. The Engineering Manager will serve as a 'product owner' for the inventory of IT integrations solutions enabling the key capabilities required to run Adobe's Channel and Enterprise Sales businesses. In this role, the Engineering Manager will partner with the Integrations Platform team to define a product roadmap for each integration application and drive initiatives to ensure that milestones on the roadmap are met. In addition, the successful Engineering Manager will work closely with the IT Enterprise and Solution Architecture teams to evaluate and select third party vendors for SaaS or on-premise business integration solutions.


  • Proactively manage IT team, internal business partners and vendors across competing projects, resources and schedules in a cross-functional and complex organization across North America, Romania and India.
  • Direct and indirect management of all resources assigned to the team including task assignment, mentoring, staffing and administration
  • Drive accountability across the cross-functional project teams towards critical milestones and deadlines.
  • Proactively resolve conflict among team members, functional IT teams and internal business partners.
  • Facilitate full project lifecycle planning, tracking and reporting ($ budget, hours, process; SDLC & SOX compliance.)
  • Ensure implementation plans and dependencies are thoroughly defined and documented with all IT cross functional teams and project stakeholders
  • Partner with IT Service Managers and the IT PMO to practically implement and enforce project management best practices, methodologies, processes, tools and deliverables
  • Share the responsibility for running common team activities e.g. status meeting, monthly financial reporting, resource planning
  • Elevate the skills of the organization to drive to a new level of integration engineering
  • Be an advocate for Adobe IT integration methodologies and tools
  • Prepare and present project information and task details to project team members and senior leadership
  • Open to learning and implementing new technologies.

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 5+ years of line management experience supporting Enterprise Integrations and ETL (cloud to cloud, cloud to on-premise).
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integrations with and between, Apttus, SAP BW/ECC/CC/CA/CI/CRM, RightNow and AtTask)
  • Working knowledge of implementing data transformations/mappings and integrations using Java OSGI
  • Working knowledge of designing and building REST/JSON/TOGAF/SOA interfaces with SaaS based applications like
  • Working knowledge of integration technologies such as Tibco ESB, Service Gateway, Informatica PowerCenter
  • Good understanding of latest data integration trends, design patterns and strategies.
  • Experienced with real time and near real time mass data replication technologies
  • Experienced with defining canonical representation of data sets for integrations
  • Experienced in building various types of integration strategies around Operational Data Stores (ODS) or other Data Warehousing Stores.
  • Experience with various cloud-based and on premise data sources: SAP BW, SAP ECC, SAP CC/CI, SAP CRM,, Workday, Oracle, SQL Server with OLAP and Flat files
  • Hands-on Enterprise Service Bus experience with applications such as Tibco ActiveMatrix, WebMethods ESB
  • SOA, J2EE, Web Services (SOAP/REST)
  • SAP Data Services ETL is a plus
  • Experience leading teams of 3-5 geographically dispersed IT professionals.
  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • A visibly strong leader and team player. Creative outside-the-box thinker.
  • An energetic driver with the ability to lead by influence and impact business decisions/processes through effective networking and expectation management.
  • Ability to build credibility and trust with team members, clients and senior management using superior interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Regularly interact with Senior Leadership on matters concerning delivery of projects for customers
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities, consistently meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment is crucial
  • Outstanding customer services attributes both internally and externally
  • Has experience with both Scrum/Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience in DevOps and Continuous Integrations will be a plus.
