Position Summary:


This is a position in Adobe Captivate Prime (ACP) development team in Bangalore. ACP is a Learning Management System (LMS). It is a multi-tenant SaaS product hosted on AWS and developed with modern web technologies. We are looking for a DevOps engineer with below responsibilities and requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest level of uptime and Quality of Service (QoS) to Adobe's customers through operational excellence
  • Identify areas to improve service resiliency through techniques such as chaos engineering, performance/load testing, etc
  • You should support and maintain the existing CI/CD pipelines
  • Participate in the evolution of standard methodologies.
  • Display thought leadership through presentations in various aspects of computer science.
  • Automate common, repeatable tasks at large scale to streamline operational procedures
  • Design and maintain production monitoring systems
  • You should be able to tackle performance and stability issues using a wide variety of tools
  • Evaluate and handle application and environment security
  • Follow change management processes during implementations
  • Use and maintain version control for application infrastructure
  • You should participate in an on-call rotation as required
  • Determine root-cause for all production level incidents and write corresponding high-quality RCA reports

Requirements:

  • 3+ years production level experience with distributed applications at scale in public cloud (AWS and/or Azure), or equivalent experience
  • Experience in one (and preferably more) of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, Javascript or Ruby
  • Production level expertise with containerization orchestration engines (i.e., Kubernetes, Mesos)
  • Strong working knowledge of modern, continuous development techniques and pipelines (Agile, Kanban, CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, Artifactory)
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO27001, SOC-II, PCI-DSS, and/or HIPAA
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries, particularly in the context of a SaaS offering.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Good understanding of the Operating System concepts, mainly Linux.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passionate about solving interesting problems for customers - ready to explore new grounds in technology and user experience.
  • Display a readiness to walk "unchartered" territory with a deep sense of curiosity, appetite for risk and perseverance to solve problems.

Good to have skills:

  • Experience in development using various Web technologies. This position specifically targets the server side technologies and frameworks, mainly Java, Spring, Hibernate etc. Knowledge of client side technologies, will be a huge plus.
  • Any experience with tools like Jenkins, Chef, NewRelic, Splunk, Zabbix, AWS expertise.
