Regional Account Executive (Inside Sales)


The Regional Account Executive is responsible to drive sales of our products by establishing and nurturing relationships with upscale independent retailers in the boutique and gift industry. The Regional Account Executive will communicate with customers via phone and email, with a heavy emphasis on outbound calling. Regional Account Executives will also travel to trade shows during our trade show season, as well as client visitations.



As a member of a vibrant and growing sales team, the Regional Account Executive will perform a variety of duties related to the primary objective of consistent success in the sales of products:

  • Meet and exceed sales goals by taking orders and employing sophisticated sales techniques to increase order size, quantity, frequency and diversification of product and brand selection
  • Develop and sustain positive and productive relationships with customers in an assigned territory, primarily through phone contact
  • Build rapport with each customer to promote longevity and satisfaction, while supporting our commitment in creating an outstanding experience for our customers
  • Effectively grow distribution through new client acquisition, as well as growth within existing customer base
  • Educate and train customers on product collections and features, providing them with the descriptive language that conveys the unique appeal of our products
  • Partner with customers in maximizing sales of products by making recommendations in sales strategies, product and brand selection, displays and merchandising, and special events
  • Inspire enthusiastic customer participation in seasonal sales promotions
  • Work cooperatively with local reps as needed to address customers’ needs and fulfill orders
  • Handle administrative and procedural duties related to order processing, fulfillment, and resolution of issues
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned; responsibilities may change and grow over time

The Regional Account Executive is also a key member of the traveling sales team at trade shows:

  • Travel to industry trade shows across the US and Canada
  • Employ proactive sales techniques to drive sales in the assigned booth
  • Display a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and sophisticated image in the representation of products and brands


Top candidates for the Regional Account Executive position will possess the following skills, attributes and qualifications:

  • Capable of meeting short-deadline goals on a daily basis and adapting to rapidly changing needs
  • Able and willing to travel and work extensively during trade show season (January-February and July-August); includes evenings and weekends as well as long hours in motion and on your feet; travel during trade show season may exceed 75%
  • Highly-motivated, self-starter with good facilitation, project management and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Experience and adaptability with a fast changing, complex, dynamic and entrepreneurial working atmosphere
  • Strong professional presentation, verbal and written skills; communicating with leadership, management as well as internal and external customers
  • Obtains analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Strong computer skills; highly proficient with MS Office and CRM database software
