Our client, a leader in the electric vehicle industry, is seeking an EV System Test Engineer to join their team.

As an EV System Test Engineer, you will be part of the testing department supporting innovative projects in electric vehicle charging technology. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: EV System Test Engineer | Part Time Role 

Location: Elgin, IL

Pay Range: $60 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Manage and lead all day-to-day activities in the test lab in service of the overall testing programs and objectives.
  • Maintain and manage test equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and productive environment for staff.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans to ensure the highest standards of performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with product managers, QA/QC engineers, and other stakeholders to diagnose technical issues and refine test methods.
  • Execute system level testing on EV charging hardware focusing on user experience, reliability, and safety.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a testing role, preferably in the automotive or EV charger industry.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies and experience developing and refining testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to lift/carry 25lbs.
