What's the Big Picture?

Some of the important things you will do in this role:

  • Work with QE leadership to define and maintain the roadmap for quality projects.
  • Take initiative about improving overall developer experience of the team's internal testing tools.
  • Write quality, maintainable test code and scripts providing extensive test coverage in a fast-paced professional software engineering environment.
  • Helping us bullet proof our software.
  • Building, executing and maintaining functional, integration, performance and regression tests.
  • Growing and maintaining a robust suite of automated tests, using internal tools and processes.

What's Required of Me?

  • Successful candidates will be developers with experience in building test frameworks, continuous delivery tools, and getting hands-on with the development lifecycle.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in industry as an engineer in test on mission critical systems, billing systems, marketplaces, or other relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years of professional SDIT experience developing automated product tests in C#, Java, or similar language.
  • Experience with traditional RDBMS databases, such as MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, etc.
  • Deductive reasoning and problem solving skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders, to perform business analysis and produce relevant acceptance criteria

What Would Make Me Stand Apart?

  • Experience working with Python, Bash, or Shell
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with Selenium/WebDriver/Java, REST API testing, and advanced SQL queries
  • Experience with Jenkins, Chef, Git, HTTP, JavaScript, continues delivery is an asset
  • Comfortable working in a command-line Linux environment
  • Demonstrable ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
  • Understand computer networks and how to troubleshoot in such an environment
