SVP, Health Practice Lead

We are seeking an inspirational leader, for MadPow's health practice. This person will demonstrate passion and indefatigable tenacity balanced with humility, curiosity, and vision. This role will involve shaping the future of health alongside industry leaders and the people they serve as well as sharing insight and perspective at industry events. The SVP, Health Practice Lead will be responsible for the vision, strategy, growth, and efficacy of MadPow's health practice (Pharma, Hospital, Life Sciences, et al.)

MadPow's health practice has been working for the past 13 years to improve health experiences and health outcomes. From the health experience design conference which provides support and inspiration to the community to working tirelessly help patients navigate a complex system, build bridges, prevent disease, ease anxiety, and connect people, all through the power of design, the spirit of human-centricity, and a desire for impact. We created the center for health experience design to create opportunities for collaboration across the industry and serve as a conduit for innovation. We are now looking to the future to design what we think the experience of health could be and a leader to help us shape that vision and take us to the next level. This is a leadership role, responsible for collaboratively leading the continued growth, evolution and positioning of our health practice.

The Health Practice Lead will be responsible for:

Vision & Thought Leadership:

  • Work collaboratively across the agency and with external partners as well, to create a vision for what health experiences will be like in the future
  • Work with agency leadership to develop our positioning and health story into a compelling point of view and collateral
  • Speak at and attend key industry events and author materials or work with our copywriter to author materials that share our point of view and vision for the future
  • Chair our Health Experience Design Conference, lead theme and direction, support selection of speakers, and ensure conference success for attendees, speakers, and results for MadPow
  • Identify opportunities to collaborate with other organizations to stimulate innovation across the industry through our Center for Health Experience Design

Relationships & Strategy:

  • Offer high level strategy and consultative value to our health clients at key moments in the relationship
  • Work actively on key strategic accounts to enhance relationship strength
  • Participate in onboarding new clients ensuring a strong start and positive first impression
  • Collaborate with health practice team to nurture, grow and extend relationships with our existing health clients
  • Mentor and direct activities of account managers (Client Partners) actively managing relationships for organic growth within the vertical
  • Strategically leverage our portfolio and your expertise to identify and deliver upon both established and nascent opportunities

Practice Growth:
  • Craft and implement a Health Practice business plan and strategy focused on quality delivery, long-term relationships, and revenue growth
  • Establish and achieve Health vertical growth targets on a per account basis
  • Work closely with the Health Practice's Business Development Director to identify, pursue and nurture new relationships
  • Close new business through the development and delivery of compelling pitch material highly relevant and engaging to prospects
  • Oversee our Center for Health Experience Design as a vehicle for growth of our Health Practice
  • Compile financial reporting and communicate progress and forecasting in a monthly review of the vertical
